Yesterday saw the inauguration of the Velmire City Theatre, a dazzling new venue in the heart of Aberspeld. The ceremony was presided over by none other than Aurelien Velmire, heir to the House of Culture and the Arts.

"Art lifts the city" Aurelien declared at the ceremony, "and I intend to carry that light."

His appearance caused much chatter. Aurelien has long been known for his erratic public presence, having missed numerous official engagements in the past. Rumors of irresponsibility, eccentric behavior and a general lack of interest in governance have followed him for years.

Yet yesterday, many saw him in a different light: poised, eloquent and proud. Could this be the sign of a new maturity on the part of young Velmire?
