GEARWORKS CHRONICLES

Explosion in the Sector 3 - 2 people died

Last night, the mechanical assembly plant in Sector 3, diligently managed by Kaldren's house, suffered an unfortunate malfunction, causing a localized explosion that claimed the lives of two workers and injured three others.

Emergency services and the Kaldren House safety committee were immediately dispatched to contain the incident, assess the damage and provide support to the affected families. Unfortunately, they were unable to resuscitate two workers, a married couple who had worked in the factory for over twenty years and left behind a 10-year-old daughter.

“While deeply regrettable, this kind of incident reminds us of the courage of our workers,” said Commissioner Kaldren in a public statement. He assured us that he was taking the problem very seriously. We have received no further information on the child's fate, but we are confident that she will be taken to safety.

House Alveret, responsible for the new steam engine prototype, recently released a statement regarding the current situation. ‘’We are deeply saddened by the casualties, injuries and damage the explosion had caused. Our inventors will do everything in their power to improve the prototype machine to make sure this never happens again.’’

The family further claims the explosion was caused by human error, not by malfunction of the machine. Their goal is to minimize human error in the next iteration of the prototype.

In these difficult times, it's essential to remember that progress comes with risks. Our great city of Aberspeld has prospered for two centuries thanks to the tireless efforts of our industrial class and the noble vision of the Six Houses.

The Six Houses are united, and together, with loyalty and order, we will resist.
