Looking For A Family Day Out Around The City?

Are you in search of something to do with with your family one of your 4 state provided days vacation from work? Check out our top recommendations for some of the best ways to spend time with your loved ones within the walls of Aberspeld.

1. Grand Port

Situated at the mouth of the River Speld and on the brink of the vast oceans this beautiful area is home to many surprises. Watch the ships come in and out of the port from far off nations. Feel free to wave at the sailors to give them a warm welcome into our beautiful city. You can come aboard The Velmire Family's own S.S. Liberation. An imposing battleship, kept in pristine condition for over 250 years, now retired in the harbour at Grand Port as a floating tribute to our nation's history. You can take a look around the historical exhibits and learn everything there is to know about the proud past of Aberspeld for free, just be careful not to fall overboard. Breath in the cooling salty breeze coming from the water as you enjoy the delicious taste of ham on bread or buttered bread from an Alvaret Mealvendor™ (now with 2 new ways to eat bread!).

2. Kirkennet

Come and have a wander around the famous church grounds at Kirkennet. Centred around the old Church of Saint Kenneth. The church is dedicated Kenneth Velmire, the patron saint of Aberspeld, saint of industry and progress, and one of the founding fathers of Aberspeld. The building itself is an incredible work of architecture dating back to only 12 years after the city was founded. It is not only open to patrons every Sunday but is also available for the public to access throughout the rest of week so that everyone can come and learn about the good values that we as a city are proud to demonstrate in our day to day lives. After your visit to the church take a walk around the rest of Kirkennet. See the old town, the historical buildings, and old cobbled roads. The neighbourhood may be a bit rough in places, but in my opinion its worth it to be able to see one of the most beautiful areas of Aberspeld.

3. Minnetton

What better way to spend your day not working at the factory than not working, at the factory! It may initially seem counter-intuitive, sure, but it actually makes a lot of sense when you start to think about it. It's the perfect chance to admire our cities innovative industries without the being distracted by the amazing we're sure you do everyday. It's also a chance to visit the largest Varnholt police precinct in the city within the Minnetton district gates. You can show your children around your work, let them know how hard you work to keep out society thriving, show them the ropes on some of the equipment you operate. By the end of your day out your children won't be able to wait until their 10th birthday so they can start working in the Volgrin coal power energy generator, or at the Kaldren nuts and bolts factory. It's also a great opportunity to spend as much time in the break room as you like!

4. Braeville

The other side of the River Speld. This is the best place to get the opportunity to see what life is like for the 6 families and their associates. Their properties may not be open to the public, but that doesn't stop curious onlookers from staring at a distance. The life of luxury and prestige is something to behold. From the beautiful estates, to the eccentric dress styles of the residents that can be seen riding in their carriages. Pictured below is the Goldwynn Mansion behind their collection of statues of their ancestors, detailing an intricate family tree across several generations. This is the most expensive property in the entire city and it's easy to see why. Some lucky admirers have even had to chance to see some our leaders up close. Doesn't that sound exciting. Try not to be too much of a presence however, as our leaders are very busy people, and for them to have to file a nuisance report would be even more work on top of their already tight schedules.
